As the Senior Director of the Health Alliance at Tiger Institute for Health Innovation, Michael Seda focuses on leveraging technology to build and support a high performance regional provider network focused on achieving Triple Aim goals.
He makes an impact on Cerner, University of Missouri, and other client organizations. In this role he is responsible for developing business relationships and overseeing operations to support business objectives. He also has executive responsibility for the Tiger Institute Health Alliance HIE and the Health Network of Missouri and leads the Institute’s employer services initiatives.
Michael joined Cerner in 2010 as a Business Developer. Previously, Michael served as the Director of Physician Services and as a Regional Manager at BJC Medical Group and Chief Executive Officer at Sioux Center Community Hospital and Health Center/Avera Health. In these roles he had broad leadership responsibilities including operations, strategic planning, community relations, and physician recruitment.
During his time at Cerner, Michael has focused on the expansion of Tiger Institute beyond University of Missouri. He led the development of the Health Alliance HIE, the strategic partnership with Health Network of Missouri, and the extension of the Institute’s EHR and ITWx operations to physician practices and hospitals. In addition, he has represented Tiger Institute with Missouri state legislators and officials.
Michael is a graduate of University of Missouri—Columbia and has a Master of Health Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in biology. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.
