As the senior vice president of Strategic Business Units, Don Bisbee is responsible for Cerner’s Clinical and Revenue Management, DeviceWorks and Interoperability business units. Within each of these, he oversees the market and solution strategy including development roadmaps and sales.
Don also has executive oversight of the company’s model for providing a base system design across all roles and capabilities, implementation playbooks, as well as anticipated outcomes and key performance indicators by service line.
Previously, Don led the business and delivery strategy for new technologies and leveraged information technology (IT) and operational services to drive value to health care organizations. He was responsible for strategic leadership of new technologies designed to optimize workflow, infrastructure and medical device interoperability. His team worked with clients and industry partners to provide comprehensive solutions that supported the transformation of health care.
He also worked to create strategic alignments with clients in which Cerner takes on the organizations IT delivery and manages its technology challenges, including implementations, system management and clinical adoption.
Since joining Cerner in 1995, Don has held multiple executive roles in emerging and new growth areas, client relationships and new client development.
Don earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
