Tiger Institute at Cerner Health Conference – Sessions

11/2/14 | Connecting Missouri, Featured Posts, Newsroom

This year’s Cerner Health Conference is kicked off by our own Mitch Wasden, the CEO and COO of MU Health Care at the Sunday, Nov. 5 General Session. Mitch will discuss how technology can improve patient engagement and how we overcame cultural challenges to improve adoption. The general session begins at 5 p.m.
The Tiger Institute will also showcase recent innovations on the Solutions Gallery floor. Our engineers and designers collaborate directly with physicians, nurses, researchers, and students. We develop unique solutions that are used locally and marketed globally. Stop by to see us and learn about e-visit technology in the patient portal, blood pressure percentiles MPage component, and the pain management MPage. We’ve also begun development for a Google Glass application for use in surgery and we’ll be showing our new consumer-facing mental health app, MoodTrek.
Finally, many of our initiatives across MU Health Care will be featured at education sessions led by MU Health Care and Tiger Institute associates, as outlined in the table below. Topics include past successful experiences like orders, specialty EMRs, device integration, and achieving HIMSS Stage 7 and Meaningful Use Stage 2. You can also learn about ongoing value-based transformation initiatives and research strategies. And our CMIO, Dr. Tom Selva, will be featured in the Client Achievements area of the Solutions Gallery on Tuesday at 3 p.m. when he’ll discuss the infusion of technology and design within MU Health Care’s ambulatory business model.
